There is a growing culinary tourism scene around Lake Superior, and craft breweries are an integral part of attracting visitors to the region.  For example, 18 breweries, including Sleeping Giant and Slate Island, are part of the Lake Superior Circle Tour Ale Trail, and many of them use thousands of gallons of Lake Superior’s waters in their products, giving them — quite literally — a unique taste that only this region can produce.
